What is Mandala?

Mandala comesfromthe ancient Sanskritlanguage.

"Manda" from Mandala, means circle; signifying the holy center. "La" means to separate.

Mandala is sometimes translated as the "vessels of essence".

Mandala is famous for Hinduism's Yantra and Buddhism's sand paintings, but it does not mean that it was only used for those things.

Mandala has gone beyond generations and civilizations, having been used in the spiral patterns carved in the stone ruins of prehistoric times, and in the rose windows of the Christian churches.

In the modern era, the psychologist Carl Jung utilized it to express the entirety of the mind. Mandala signifies the universe and the infinite existence, the earth and nature, ourselves, and

My own perspective of Mandala

I draw using dots as a base, in black paper with a colored pen.

Darkness: "why use black paper?"

For me, black paper represents "Darkness". This was also the color of my life before I started to draw the Mandala.

The circumstances of my existence lead me to believe that "My life is engulfed in darkness!"

Mandala written with a gelink pen becomes the light that emerged from the darkness.Drawing a Mandala means the process of digging the light out of the darkness.

My understanding of Mandala has gradually become deeper as I drew it more. In the same manner, my view of life has started to improve.

My enthusiasm for drawing the Mandala has cured my mind, and "the individual realm" has ultimately transfigured into "the map of the Universe", which signifies "comprehension of all phenomenon."

Drawing a Mandala starts from the center. This expresses the birth of light out of the chaos of darkness. The light spreading in all directions, shows how this world was created. It traces back to how our world was created during the BigBang. It also shows how we have been living, ever since having been born from the womb of our mothers. The central light is a representation of ourselves, which also means the center of our world. All phenomenon is born in the center, and ends in the

Drawing dots: The thing that you can see inside the dots

The mandala that I draw uses dots as a base.

If you will take a closer look, you will realize that each dot has its own shape.

Small dots, bigger sized ones, stretched line ones, none of them have the same shape as another.

These infinite number of dots depict each one of us, if we look at Mandala as our life and our world.

It represents all human emotions. In other words, not only does it express happiness and pleasure,  but also sadness, suffering, anger, as well as jealousy. However, it does not render judgment about good or bad. It just reveals what is the truth.

When we look at a Mandala, it helps us to realize that we keep on looking at the tiny dots in the center.

The power of Mandala

Mandala is designed to draw our eyes into its center.

By being absorbed looking at the center, our heart calms down, become bright, and become powerful. It reminds us what the most important thing really is.

Forgiving, loving people and nature and the world, and doing deeds with love.

If you will have a Mandala as a decoration, it will invite good fortune and provide a harmonious atmosphere in your household. Moreover, it can also put our body and mind in a state of calmness.

It will lead us to individual prosperity and growth, as well as success in our business endeavors.
